It was decided recently that a new members committee was needed for our Gateway Club and who better to choose than our own members. We received twenty peoples' names for eight places. On Wednesday 14 August each member attending the club was given a voting form showing each prospective committee member with their photograph, name and a box to put a cross. Eighty two forms were returned in the ballot box. A better turnout than the General Election! (Only actual members could vote not volunteers or carers.)

The final results were announced at the club on Wednesday 21st August 2002 and the members committee are as follows:

Everyone who put their names forward for the committee got a large number of votes, so well done to you all and thank you everyone who voted.

Yvonne Rennicor later resigned, and Stephen Johnson, who had the next highest votes, joined the committee in her place.
